Convocatis — Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Convocatis mobile app and web version ("Convocatis" or "the service"). By using Convocatis you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
1. Service provider
- Name: SIA AZ translation
- Registration number: LV45403036477
- Address: Gravas iela 9, Madona
- Phone: +37129429518
- Email: info@convocatis.net
2. What Convocatis is
Convocatis is a library of prayers, songs and other devotional texts, available as a mobile app and on the web. It is intended for personal prayer as well as shared use in parishes, prayer groups and similar communities — including displaying a text on an external screen or projector.
The service is free of charge. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. We never ask for payment details.
3. Your account
An account is required so that texts can sync across your devices. You can create one with an email address and password, or with a Google account. By registering you agree to:
- provide a valid email address;
- keep your password to yourself and not let others use your account;
- tell us promptly if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.
Convocatis is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for that age group.
4. Acceptable use
You may use Convocatis for personal, parish and other non-commercial religious purposes. You agree not to:
- use the service for unlawful purposes or in breach of these terms;
- submit content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringes anyone's rights, including copyright;
- knowingly alter liturgical or Scripture texts and present them as authentic;
- scrape or otherwise bulk-extract the text library, or parts of it, to build a competing service or to republish it commercially;
- disrupt the service, circumvent access restrictions, or access parts of the system you are not entitled to.
5. Texts and copyright
Many texts in Convocatis are prayers and songs owned by their authors, translators or publishers. They are made available for use in prayer and worship, but this does not transfer any copyright to you: the texts may not be republished in a book, another app or a commercial edition without the rights holder's permission.
If you believe a text in Convocatis infringes your copyright, write to info@convocatis.net identifying the text and the basis of your claim. Where the claim is justified, we will remove it.
6. Content you submit
The app lets you write your own texts and offer them to the shared library. By submitting a text you confirm that you have the right to distribute it, and you grant us a royalty-free right to store, display and sync it within the service.
Texts offered to the shared library are reviewed before publication. We may decline or remove a text that does not fit these terms or the purpose of the service. You may withdraw your own texts at any time.
7. Availability and changes to the service
The service is provided as is. We aim to keep it running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or any particular amount of content. We may extend, change or discontinue the service; we will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect accounts.
The app's core functions work offline, but an internet connection is needed to sync and to renew your sign-in session.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from the use or unavailability of the service, or from errors in the content. These limitations do not affect consumer rights granted by mandatory law.
9. Closing your account
You can delete your account and its data at any time: delete-account.php. We may suspend or close an account used in breach of these terms; unless prohibited by law, we will notify you first.
10. Privacy
Data handling is described in our separate Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may need to change. When they do, we will update the date shown above, and we will announce material changes in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. We will try to resolve any dispute directly — write to info@convocatis.net. Consumers may also contact the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Centre (ptac.gov.lv) or use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
