Convocatis — Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data the Convocatis mobile app and web version ("Convocatis") collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
What we collect
- Email address — for account creation and sign-in (email/password or Google account).
- Password — stored only in hashed form, never in plain text.
- Device identifier (Android device ID) — to link your account to a device and maintain your session.
- Usage data — which texts you've read and how often, to sync your progress across devices and compile anonymized usage statistics.
- Language/country setting — from your device's system settings (not GPS or any location tracking — the app does not use or request location permission).
How we use this data
Data is used solely to provide core app functionality: account authentication, syncing content across your devices, and usage statistics (e.g. identifying popular texts). We do not use your data for ad personalization and do not build marketing profiles.
Data sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only exception is Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with a Google account, authentication happens through Google's own service under Google's Privacy Policy.
The app contains no ads and uses no third-party analytics or tracking (e.g. Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, AdMob).
Data security
All data between the app and server is transmitted encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored only in hashed form. Server access is restricted and protected.
Cookies
The mobile app does not use cookies. The web version uses only a technically necessary session cookie in the admin section (to maintain login state) — no tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights — account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time: convocatis.translat.lv/delete-account.php. Requests are processed within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Convocatis is not directed at or targeted to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from this age group.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date shown above. Please check back periodically.
